  • Our Sunday School and Youth Group lessons for this week are based off of Ezra 5-6.

Memory Verse: "And they kept the Feast of the Unleavened Bread seven days with Joy, for the Lord had made them joyful and had turned the heart of the king of Assyria to them, so that he aided them in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel." -Ezra 6:22

Here are a few questions you can ask your kids to help engage with them throughout the week:

    1. How can you trust the Lord fully in all circumstances?

    2. How can we help you trust God when it feels hard to do so?

    3. In what ways can we find our joy in the Lord today, no matter the circumstances?

Main Takeaway: God will work all things together for good, and no opposition can stand against God's purposes. True joy comes from the Lord.

Song Recommendation:"How Can I Keep From Singing"

  • We're here to come alongside you as you disciple your children!

Here is one resource we thought might be helpful to you this week:

Theology of Family by Pastor Joe Novenson of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church. In this recorded lecture, Pastor Novenson teaches how family is at the heart of disclosing the character of God and how families are the number one tool that God has ordained to evangelize the world.

We pray that this is edifying and beneficial to you as you walk through life with your students, and want to remind you that we here at Haven are here for not just your kids, but for you as well! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you’re going through difficulties of any kind.

I like how the Sunday School lesson and Wednesday night’s lesson connect. It really helps to cement everything that we’re learning!”
