Our Sunday School and Youth Group lessons for this week are based off of Zechariah 9.
Verse of the Week:
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is He, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Zechariah 9:9Here are a few questions you can ask your kids to help engage with them throughout the week:
Why do you think Jesus chose to ride into Jerusalem on a donkey? Is that how you would choose to enter a town if you were a king?
What “enemy” are you facing right now? What did this passage teach you about God’s ability to defeat that enemy for you?
What do you look forward to the most about Jesus’ second coming? What are you most excited to see Him defeat? Cancer? Addiction? Poverty? Injustice?
Main Takeaway:
Through the death of the humble servant-king, God has defeated our greatest enemies of sin, death, and evil. And one day, this servant-king will return as a mighty warrior, ready to finally eliminate evil forever.

We're here to come alongside you as you disciple your children!
Here is one resource we thought might be helpful to you this week:
CPYU’s Parent Prompt on Identity
Every person is masterfully designed by God for a unique purpose. God has a special calling on each of your children- to use them in mighty ways to build His Kingdom! Helping your kids step into, embrace, and live out this God-given identity is a critical role for parents. Doing this well equips children to embrace their unique calling and live boldly for Christ.
We hope and pray that this helps you as you disciple your students. Remember, we are here for you and your kids. Please feel free to reach out if you're facing any challenges.

The Edge Conference
Friday, June 20th - Wednesday, June 25th
The Edge is our Middle School Summer conference. Held at our denominational school, Covenant College atop Lookout Mt. GA.
As many of you know, there’s been a lot happening in our ministry recently, and for a while, we weren’t sure if we’d be able to attend The Edge this year. Thankfully, with the generous help of several adult volunteers—Ray River (Communications Director), Mike Tunez (Deacon), and Nathalie Montesino (Youth Leader)—we’ve decided to move forward with the trip (YAY)! We only have a limited number of spots so be sure to register your student as soon as possible!
Thank you for your understanding and support, and as always please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
