Wednesday Night: Nov. 27th - Thanksgiving Break - NO HAVEN!
News:
On December 4th, our last Haven will feature an anonymous Q&A session where students can ask leaders questions. We have a form for middle and high school students to submit questions anonymously (links below). We encourage parents to have their students ask anything from theology and personal advice to our leaders' testimonies and favorite verses!

Our Sunday School and Youth Group lessons for this week are based off of Nehemiah 10.
Verse of the Week: “Join with their brothers, their nobles, and enter into a curse and an oath to walk in God's law that was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord and His rules and His statutes.” Nehemiah 10:29
Here are a few questions you can ask your kids to help engage with them throughout the week:
What can make obedience to God hard?
How can we better help you be faithful to obey God?
In the same way the ministry of the temple served in the obedience of the Israelites, how can the ministry of the church help us to more faithfully follow God today?
What are some ways you can add sabbath practices into your life today?
Main Takeaway: Repentance requires commitment to the law of God, which points us to God. Jesus is the fulfillment of the law and the promises of God.

We're here to come alongside you as you disciple your children!
Here is one resource we thought might be helpful to you this week:
Guiding Your Child to Purity in a Culture that Glorifies Sexual Sin
Dr. Jason Barker (MDiv, DMin) has served as a pastor and educator for twenty years. He is the Dean of Academics at Oak Valley College in Rialto, California, and serves as an adjunct faculty member at four other colleges and seminaries. In this article, he addresses how parents can disciple their children regarding biblical sexuality, provides further resources on the topic, and gives discussion questions for you to use when engaging with your student(s).
We hope and pray that this helps you as you disciple your students. Remember, we are here for you and your kids. Please feel free to reach out if you're facing any challenges.
